The Dufferin Astronomy Association is welcoming new members from the Creemore area.

The newly formed association, based just north of Shelburne, hopes to inspire and share an appreciation for the night sky and all things related to astronomy.

The group, which usually holds night viewing events out of Rosemont, is hosting a three-part introductory seminar at the Mill Street branch of the Orangeville Public Library in February.

The seminars take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5. Topics include the universe and our place in it, introduction to the night sky and equipment considerations: telescopes, binoculars, etc.

Attendees do not have to be a member of the club and no previous experience is required.

Anyone planning to attend is asked to e-mail dufferinastronomy@yahoo.ca.
