Musician Richard Garvey is performing at a house concert near Creemore.
Garvey is a contestant in CBC’s searchlight competition for independent musicians having put forth the single Abigail from his new album Where Fools Gather, to be released in June.
Garvey will bring his upbeat acoustic folk music to the home of Jim and Dawn McPherson on May 10, with Patrick Keating opening.
The event is organized by Ayrlie MacEachern, with half the proceeds going to Imaginarium Adventures In Art annual summer camp bursary fund.
People are invited to gather for a light dinner and some homegrown music.
There will be both meat and vegetarian dinner options – vegetarian stew and moose chili will be served.
Tickets are priced using a sliding scale between $25 and $40, pay what you can.
Advanced tickets are encouraged, in order to plan the meal.
