Each year your Tree Society of Creemore tends to the aging tree stock in the village by planting new trees and pruning those on public property to promote their healthy growth. The society also advises the township on those old trees that are due to be replaced with new stock for future generations to enjoy and benefit from. The society has an ambitious tree-planting program planned for this year and asks those interested in a tree to contact us.
To fund this program we count on membership fees, donations including in memoriam tree plantings and the funds we raise from the annual auction and bargain sale.
This year’s Silent Auction and Bargain Sale will be held on Saturday, May 16 at the Station on the Green from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The society is accepting donations of new and lightly used household articles. All items in good condition are welcomed and tax receipts are available for any item sold for $20 or more. Pick-up of your articles can be arranged by calling Jim Morrey at 705-466-3271, Tracey Kolowska at 705-466-6317 or Marnie Hillier at 705-466-5510. Anyone interested in helping set up or stage the auction on Saturday is encouraged to call as well.
Help us make this year’s Silent Auction and Bargain Sale the biggest ever. Join us at the Station on the Green and together we can continue to “green up” Creemore.
Please contact Liz Smith 705-466-6171 if you want advice on a tree that needs pruning.
