The Small Halls Festival has been named a finalist for the tourism event of the year award by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.

Other finalists in the category are Lucknow’s Music in the Fields, Kingsville Folk Music Festival and the James Street Supercrawl in Hamilton.

The award recognizes an event or festival that exemplifies industry best practices in all aspects of its operation.

“It’s exciting to see Clearview being represented on such a large scale”, said Mayor Chris Vanderkruys. “All of the hard work and dedication from the many volunteers, staff members and community partners is being recognized across Ontario. I would like to extend my personal appreciation and gratitude to those individuals, for Clearview Township’s success in being nominated as a finalist”.

The winners will be announced during the 2015 Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence gala in Toronto on Nov. 10.

The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario is an advocacy group for leading associations, destination marketing organizations, regional tourism organizations, and businesses serving Ontario’s tourism industry, representing 150,000 businesses and 359,000 employees dedicated to promoting and operating the province’s tourism infrastructure.
