Collingwood Collegiate Institute is hosting OFSAA championships at Highlands Nordic in Duntroon Feb. 25 and 26.
The largest cross country ski race in Canada, the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations event is expected to draw 600-700 students between the ages of 14-18.
Spectators are welcome. Distance races take place from 9:30 a.m. until about 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25 and the sprint relays will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. Award ceremonies will be held both days, Thursday at CCI and Friday in Duntroon.
Forty CCI students were racing at a qualifier Thursday with the hope of making it to OFSAA.
