Editor:

A headline on page 3 of last week’s Echo quoted Clearview’s mayor, “They were shoving this through whether we liked it or not.”

His pronouncement is quite hypocritical when it seems that Clearview is trying to get Simcoe County Rd. 91 closed, whether the community likes it or not.

Instead of wasting more private, corporate and taxpayer dollars on tribunals, the parties to the road agreement should get together and re-write the agreement. Included in the discussions should be representatives of Grey Highlands, the adjacent municipality, as the Planning Act would require.

We will all benefit from a good plan!
