Clearview continues to seek input from residents on how they feel about ATVs using township roads.
The Central Ontario ATV Club made the request of council on Jan. 25, shortly after Wasaga Beach opened its roadways to ATVs.
The club is hoping the township will pass a bylaw to open the roads to enable ATVs to connect to other trails, get into urban areas to purchase fuel, visit restaurants and stores and find accommodation.
At the time, council directed staff to gather public input and to prepare a comprehensive report outlining the routes, impacts and benefits of allowing ATV’s use of public roads.
Proposed township ATV routes will be on display at town hall in Stayner from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.
Clearview’s general manager of transportation and drainage Gerry LeMay said options range from not allowing ATVs, to opening all roads and limited access in between. The final decision will be made by council.
The municipality has also been seeking input through an online survey, available at www.clearview.ca. The survey is open until June 30.
