Editor:

After seeing Cashtown Corners ignored for so long, it is startling to see so much action.

There was unanimous agreement that something need to be done about the gas station on the north-west corner.

People were surprised but supportive of the trend-setting medical marijuana facility in the northeast.  Hesitation appeared when another field quickly fell to Huron Tractor in the north-east and now the south-east field is being eyed by Steer Enterprises.  The once idyllic valley that welcomes us home is becoming a hive of industry.

Currently locals champion the transformation but that is subject to change (à la the marijuana facility) and the transformation will be long-term.

I would hate to see Cashtown Corners look like the Hwy 90 approach into Barrie or turn into another gasoline alley.  My hope is that the businesses realize their aesthetic is the gateway and first impression to Clearview Township, Simcoe County, and the Georgian Triangle for residents and tourists alike.
