Representatives from Air Miles and Live Nation present Mulmur council and staff with a cheque for $10,000 and a signed guitar from Grammy Award-winner Meghan Trainor for their participation in the summer’s Detour program. The money will be used throughout 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th with community events and activities.
This past summer, as part of the Air Miles Detour Program, Air Miles asked cardholders to vote for one of five communities in Canada for the chance to win a concert performed by Grammy Award-winner, Meghan Trainor. Mulmur placed third with the third highest total votes, with first place going to the town of Port Hawkesbury, N.S. Other finalists in the program were; Nelson, BC, Moose Jaw, SK and Morin-Heights, QC.
