Huronia West OPP’s Traffic Unit spent several hours over a two-day period monitoring the traffic flow at the main intersection in Stayner. As a result, police stopped and charged 43 motorists for distracted driving.

Fines for distracted driving range from $1,000 and $3,000 and a driver’s licence suspension of up to 30 days.
