In these trying times, I thought I should give everybody a heads-up on the two gentlemen pictured in last week’s Echo, under the heading of “The Way We Were.”
I believe the one, sitting in the lawn chair by the door was Albert Adams. Mr. Adams was Liza Millsap’s father and he and his wife lived for a time in the building they are sitting in front of. Liza was married to Alfred Millsap, and they had three sons and one daughter. There are several grandchildren in the area and one of them David Millsap, a large beef farmer in the Mount Zion area was interviewed on National television the other night. He politely expressed his concern over the small amount of help, the government was proposing for the farm community. He has a barn full of beef cattle and can’t sell them, but must continue to feed them.
I believe the other gentleman in the picture was Allen Flack, who also lived in the Mount Zion community and was my Uncle, being my Mother’s brother.
