Huronia West has provided information about two recent ATV accidents in Clearview Township, brought to The Echo’s attention by readers.
The first crash happened at 4:05 a.m. on Sept. 16.
Police say an ATV carrying two riders struck a tree on private property in Clearview.
Both male riders – a 23-year-old and 22-year-old from Toronto – were transported to Toronto area trauma centres. The former was airlifted by Ornge air ambulance.
Police say in this incident, safety equipment was not used.
The second crash happened on Fairgrounds Road at 10:54 p.m. on Oct. 1, when a single rider struck a hydro pole.
The 38-year-old Collingwood man was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre. His injuries were later reported to be non-life threatening.
Both incidents are still under investigation.
