The Creemore Echo will be proceeding with its annual food and toy drive this year.
Donations will be welcome at 3 Caroline Street West, beginning Nov. 13.
The toys will be distributed to area children-in-need by County of Simcoe paramedics as part of their annual toy drive. The food will be delivered to the Clearview-Stayner Food Bank.
Food bank coordinator Pam Royal said Foodland gift cards are greatly appreciated, as for the past three years, they have received enough of them to be able to buy fresh milk for their clients throughout the year.
They are also looking to stock their shelves with cereal, peanut butter, and canned fruit. Toiletries of all kinds are also welcome donations – including razors, deodorant, shampoo, and feminine hygiene products. Dish soap and laundry detergent are also needed. Royal notes, baby items are not needed at this time.
The deadline for donations is Dec. 14.
