Team supporter Bill Redrupp had the honour of dropping the puck, flanked by Austin Fischer to his right, Terry Gowan, and Laura and Tom Macham, team founder and president. To his left is Sherry Schaap, whose father Ralph MacDonald spearheaded the construction of the arena while he was serving as reeve, Redrupp’s son Jonathon and granddaughters Lauran and Samantha, and Councillor Thom Paterson. About 300 people were in attendance for the game, with victory going to Shelburne 6-4. The Coyotes play the Lucknow Lancers in Creemore this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
