Huronia West OPP is currently investigating an incident involving a firearm being discharged within the Simcoe County Forest in Clearview Township.

Police received a report of a dog being shot at about 3:30 p.m. on April 2 while it was being walked on the stopped-up portion of Sideroad 6/7 Nottawasaga, known as Bear Alley, near Centre Line Road. Police say the dog’s injuries appear to be consistent with a shotgun blast.

Police believe there was a witness nearby and would like to speak with that person or anyone else who may have witnessed the incident.
