Clearview Township Council will return to in-person meetings, possibly as early as April 25. A report from the clerk this week proposes a hybrid model with in- person meetings that are also live-streamed.

The date for resumption of in-person meetings is contingent upon the installation of plexiglass barriers between seats in the council chambers. Mayor Doug Measures noted that while the Simcoe Muskoka

District Health Unit is recommending plexiglass barriers for council, there is no similar restriction for committees and boards which are also being given the option of returning to in person meetings.

Measures noted that improvements to the audio system made since the start of virtual meetings have resulted in much clearer sound, and the hybrid meeting model makes the business of council very accessible to those who might be unable to attend in person.
