The Healthy Babies Happy Families Clinic located in Collingwood has been formally changed to the Collingwood Well Baby Clinic.
The Collingwood Well Baby Clinic is a midwife-led team improving access to essential maternal-child services in the South Georgian Bay community by putting patients first and connecting families with the appropriate high quality of care.
The clinic works in collaboration with patients’ family doctors to ensure individuals feel supported throughtout the transition to parenthood.
“We decided to change the name of the clinic to streamline with other Well Baby Clinics within the region,” said Natalie Kirby, Midwife and Clinic Lead at Collingwood Well Baby Clinic. “We hope our new name will help simplify and streamline questions for both patients and care providers on how and where to reach the clinic.”
The Collingwood Well Baby Clinic continues to offer services including breastfeeding support, well baby care, group postpartum, phone call check-in’s, outpatient services and family support. In addition, outdoor and in-person group postpartum has started back up this spring, further information can be found on the clinic’s social media channels.
“We are excited for the new changes happening this spring for our clinic, including the need for outdoor and in-person group postpartum services, as well as our virtual postpartum depression support group,” said Kirby. “These services have been greatly missed over the pandemic and we are excited to be offering them once again to mothers within the region.”
