The Home for the Holidays adoption campaign, returns to The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) from Dec. 1-24 when adoption fees for all adult cats will be reduced to just $75 and kittens to $100. This is an opportunity to help reduce the number of cats in care at the GTHS and find them a loving home to call their own this holiday season.
“We have seen a 64% increase in feline owner surrender versus the same time last year,” says Karen Marsh, interim executive director of the GTHS. “Things are tough for pet families right now. We would love nothing more than to see our feline friends currently staying with us find loving homes for the holidays, while also making space for cats who are coming to us for shelter and support.”
River and Aris are two 2-year-old sister cats waiting to find their new home, hopefully together. They came to the GTHS almost two months ago when their family was no longer able to take care of them. These lovely ladies are on the shy side, but they love a good chin scratch or cheek rub once they feel comfortable. They would love to find a new home soon, as the transition to the Animal Centre has been tough for them, given their sweet and sensitive personalities.
