After what can only be described as a dismal weekend on Nov. 25-26, the Creemore Coyotes received a 9-3 thumping at the hands of the Seaforth Centenaries and a 4-0 loss in a Sunday afternoon match at home vs the Ripley Wolves.
For the first time this year, Zack Johnson’s air horn fell silent.
However, The Valley Varmints bounced back Dec. 2 on the road against defending champs Tavistock Royals, winning 7-6 in a very strange game that saw them score three goals in two minutes and 12 seconds to take the two points.
The Coyotes are still sitting near the top of the league but in a log jam with three other teams. The half way point sees them with a 7-3 record including one overtime loss. Leading the charge in Tavistock was JD Falconer with five assists and Jacob Vander Zaag with a four-point night and with a four-goal performance was former Siskin Ben Hughes including the winner
