A successful mixed bonspiel was held Saturday, Jan. 6 at the Creemore Curling Club. Teams travelled from Ivy, Guelph, Elmvale, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Durham, Markdale, Feversham and Creemore. The winning team was from the Durham and Markdale clubs, Bob Crawford (skip), Steve Frankland (Vice), Cheryl Crawford (2nd), and Dorothy Frankland (Lead). From the Hack: The second session is underway. Great to have everyone back on the ice after the holiday break. Team Lambert, with Al as skip, Karen as vice, Joan in second and Jim leading off, are looking to set the standard for the other teams. Good curling everyone!

From the Hack: After a two-week break for the holiday season, our ladies were ready to get active again and back socializing for the next few winter months.

This league’s teams will now be curling two nights a week. Our first night was Verstegen versus Millsap, both teams stepped up their calibre of play, making precise shots, with Millsap taking the victory.

In McKay versus Walker, their teams were executing several good shots in a row. The ice conditions were excellent and players were power housing their sweeping skills. It was a strong performance by all, with the Walker team celebrating the win.
