Preparations for the 2024 North Dufferin Baseball League season are underway as the League will hold its annual general meeting on March 10. The meeting will determine the number of teams participating in the season, setting a regular season and playoffformat, and electing an executive to oversee the baseball operations of the long-running organization.

Prior to the meeting, the league will hold its annual awards and lunch to celebrate baseball in the community and to recognize individual player excellence from the 2023 regular season.

Many of the awards recognize individual players and their accomplishments including the best batter, best pitcher, most sportsmanlike player and most valuable players for both the senior and junior divisions.

The awards banquet and meeting are held at the Lisle Royal Canadian Legion. Players and fans are invited to attend the awards ceremony. The awards and lunch will start at noon, followed by the annual general meeting at 1 p.m.

The North Dufferin League offers a junior and senior division with teams from Dufferin and Simcoe Counties and York and Peel Regions. Senior or Junior teams wishing to participate in the upcoming season must be present for the meeting.
