Creemore hosted an exciting 13U AA baseball tournament from June 21-23 at Gowan Memorial Park. The East York Bulldogs clinched the championship with a thrilling 13-11 win over Burlington, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final out.

Teams came from Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Scarborough, and East York. Despite a major storm on Saturday that flooded the diamonds, the tournament continued thanks to the dedicated efforts of Creemore volunteers and the baseball association. They worked tirelessly to reset the Gowan Park diamond, and the neighboring town of New Lowell stepped in to host rescheduled games.

A big thank you goes to Scott Weldon, president of Creemore Minor Baseball, and convenors Kim Patterson and Jamie Hamilton for their exceptional organization and commitment. Their hard work ensured the tournament’s success, providing a memorable experience for all the young athletes and their families.

Creemore’s community spirit and dedication to youth sports were on full display, making this tournament a highlight of the summer baseball season. Everyone involved can be proud of the effort and teamwork that brought this event to life.
