Passed away peacefully Friday, July 26, 2024 at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston at the age of 85. Mary Evelyn Doreen was the middle child born on the 3rd Line north of 25 Sd.Rd. in Ruskview to Irwin and Brenda Shaw. She is predeceased by older brothers Ron (Judy) and Bob (Lena) and survived by younger brother Harry (Jen) and sister Pat (Vic). Mary was predeceased by her husband Lorne of 66 years on August 25, 2023. Loving mother of Paul (Linda), Lynn, Greg (Jocelyn), Philip (Maureen), Anne Marie (Drew) and grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St.E., Alliston from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday August 8, 2024. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday August 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice would be appreciated. Both Mom and Dad passed at Matthews House Hospice. The compassion, caring and comfort given is second to none. As a community we should be honored and proud to have such a remarkable place for our loved ones.
