Nov. 3
Creemore, 4
Milverton, 3
Coyotes scoring: Owen Heilemann, Kevin Boyd, 2, and Kyle Linney.
Four Wheel Drives Scoring: Carson Wickie, Corey Flemington, Dennis DeWar.
Creemore goal scorers were captain Kevin Boyd with a pair, Owen Heilemann with a single and scoring the winning goal with 45 seconds left was Creemore’s own Kyle Linney. Looking like a young Bobby Orr, Linney batted the puck down in the neutral zone, deked around the lone Milverton defender and placed a shot just over the goalie’s shoulder under the crossbar to win it for the ValleyVarmints. Getting his first senior win in goal was former Alliston Hornet Rod Lewis.
Up next: A road trip to Seaforth on Nov. 9. The bus is leaving the Creemore arena at 3:30 p.m. Fans are welcome aboard.
